AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE CONVEYANCE OF
PARCEL 35-118-22-14-0006
TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER -
THE STATE OF MINNESOTA - FOR
HIGHWAY 55 RIGHT-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has provided the City with a list of conservation and
nonconservation properties which have become tax forfeit as a result of nonpayment of property
taxes and/or special assessments; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Council's Tax Forfeit Land policy, each parcel has been
reviewed; and
WHEREAS, parcel 35-118-22-14-0006 does not serve a public purpose to justify acquisition by
the City; and
WHEREAS, the parcel abuts the Highway 55 right-of-way and may serve a public purpose by
acquisition by the State of Minnesota in order to add right-of-way to Highway 55.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it
hereby recommends to Hennepin County with regard to Parcel '15-118-22-14-0006 that:
1. This parcel should be classified as Non -Conservation Land.
2. This parcel is an unbuildable lot which abuts Highway 55 and is recommended for
private conveyance to the State of Minnesota to add to the Highway 55 right-of-way.
3. The City verifies that there were no special assessments against this parcel before
forfeiture.
4. There are no known wells, wetlands, or public nuisance conditions on the parcel.
