AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF
PARCEL 12-118-22-31-0076
TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has provided the City with a list of conservation and
nonconservation properties which have become tax forfeit as a result of nonpayment of property
taxes and/or special assessments; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Council's Tax Forfeit Land policy, each parcel has been
reviewed; and
WHEREAS, parcel 12-118-22-31-0076 does not serve a public purpose to justify acquisition by
the City; and
WHEREAS, the parcel serves as a common open space outlot in the Wild Wings Addition; and
WHEREAS, there are wetlands on the parcel which appear on the 1994 Wetland Inventory and
the National Wetland Inventory and a conservation easement covers the majority of the outlot.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it
hereby recommends to Hennepin County with regard to Parcel 12-118-22-31-0076 that:
1. This parcel should be classified as Conservation Land.
2. This parcel is an unbuildable lot protected by a conservation easement and is
recommended for private auction to the adjacent owner.
The City verifies that there were $99.80 in special assessments against this parcel
before forfeiture.
4. There are no known wells or public nuisance conditions on the parcel.
