HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-148CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 98-148 AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF PARCEL 01-118-22-32-0044 TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER WHEREAS, Hennepin County has provided the City with a list of conservation and nonconservation properties which have become tax forfeit as a result of nonpayment of property taxes and/or special assessments; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Council's Tax Forfeit Land policy, each parcel has been reviewed; and WHEREAS, parcel 01-118-22-32-0044 does not serve a public purpose to justify acquisition by the City; and WHEREAS, the parcel contains the driveways and yards for 12 of the Boulder Ridge townhome units and is an outlot which the developer did not appropriately convey to the homeowners association; and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of returning tax forfeit parcels to private ownership whenever possible. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it hereby recommends to Hennepin County with regard to Parcel 01-118-22-32-0044 that: 1. This parcel should be classified as Non -Conservation Land. 2. This parcel is an unbuildable lot, contains 12 driveways and yard area for the Boulder Ridge Homeowners Association, and is recommended for private auction to the adjacent owner. 3. The City verifies that there were no special assessments against this parcel before forfeiture. 4. There are no known wells, wetlands, or public nuisance conditions on the parcel. The parcel is in the City's Shoreland area. Adopted by the City Council on March 4, 1998.
