HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-141CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 98 - 141 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID VICKSBURG LANE - 35TH AND 36TH AVENUE TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM CITY PROJECT NO. 7023 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of Vicksburg Lane at 35t1i and 36t1i Avenue Traffic Control Signal System and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Water Street Electric, Inc. $119,219.20 Electrical Installation & Maintenance 126,404.00 Ridgedale Electric, Inc. 130,050.00 Collisys 134,810.00 Killmer Electric Co., Inc. 143,769.00 Eagan McKay Electric, Inc. 143,837.80 WHEREAS; it appears that Water Street Electric, Inc. of Hutchinson, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Water Street Electric, Inc. of Hutchinson, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the constriction of Vicksburg Lane at 35t11 and 36'1i Avenue Traffic Control System according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $119,219.20 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders and the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successfiil bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Adopted by the City Council on March 4, 1998.
