HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-095CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 98-95 APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF A PROPANE SYSTEM AT OLYMPIC STEEL LOCATED AT 13100 - 15TH AVENUE NORTH (97182) WHEREAS, Olympic Steel has requested approval of a site plan amendment for installation of a propane system for property legally described as follows: Lots 1, 2 and that part of Lot 3, Block B, lying easterly of the southerly extension of the easterly line of Lot 8, Block A, all in Plymouth Orchards, Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota, together with the appurtenant easement(s) contained in Document No. 3990990. Together with all that part of vacated 15 '/z Avenue or 15"' Place, adjacent to the southerly side of Lots 5, 6, and 7, Block A, Plymouth Orchards, Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof lying southerly and southwesterly of the centerline of said 15 '/z Avenue or 15t1' Place. Together with or subject to easement, restrictions or reservations of record. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Olympic Steel for a site plan amendment for installation of a propane system, subject to the following conditions: Resolution 98-95 Page 2 1. This site plan is for constriction of a propane system on the north side of the building, as shown on plans received on December 19, 1997, except as amended by this resolution. 2. Approval is for a six-foot high chain link fence around the propane system. 3. An administrative permit for outside, above ground storage facilities for fi els is required prior to constriction of the propane system. 4. A building permit is required prior to beginning constriction of the propane system. 5. The tank and vaporizer shall be installed and protected to fire code requirements. 6. Standard Conditions: a. Compliance with the City Engineer's Memorandum. b. Submission of the required Financial Guarantee and Site Performance Agreement for completion of site improvements within twelve months of the date of this Resolution. c. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per Ordinance provisions. d. Compliance with the Ordinance regarding the location of fire hydrants, fire lanes, and fire lane signage. e. An 8 1/2 x I I inch "As Built" Fire Protection Plan shall be submitted prior to the release or reduction of any site improvement bonds per City Policy. f. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property owner or applicant has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of the Zoning Ordinance.
