REIMBURSING DEVELOPER FOR
REQUIRED 16" TRUNK WATERMAIN CONSTRUCTION
THE COURTS AT NANTERRE (96023)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and Weston Corporation have entered into a development
contract dated October 17, 1996 for the development of The Courts at Nanterre (96023); and
WHEREAS, as part of this development, the developer was required to constrict a 16"
watermain in The Courts at Nanterre (96023) in order to conform with the City of
Plymouth's Water Distribution Plan; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City policy the developer installed the required 16"
watermain in The Courts at Nanterre (96023) in the private streets and 49th Place North
from east to west across the plat; and
WHEREAS, the work has been completed as detailed in the approved plans and
specifications; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has previously accepted the utilities, including the 16"
watermain, for continual maintenance; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Plymouth to reimburse developers for the cost of
oversizing watermain from 8" to the required size including engineering costs upon
completion in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and acceptance for
continual maintenance by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth reimbursed the developer for the constriction cost of
oversizing watermain from 8" to the required size; and
WHEREAS, the developer's engineering cost for this work amounts to $3,950.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the developer, Weston Corporation, is to be
reimbursed in the amount of $3,950 for engineering costs to constrict the required 16"
watermain based on the alignment in the constriction plans and in accordance with City
policy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fiinds be allocated from the Trunk Water Fund.
Adopted by the City Council on February 4, 1998.
