RESOLUTION No. 2015-201
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FLASHING YELLOW ARROW
INDICATION RETROFIT IMPLEMENTATION PLAN (15008)
WHEREAS, the 2015-2019 Capital Improvement Program includes the installation of Flashing Yellow Arrows
(SYA) throughout the City with construction in 2015, 2016, and 2017; and
WHEREAS, SRF Consulting was selected to perform a study to identify and determine a sequencing plan
to retrofit FYA at existing traffic signals Citywide; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications are expected to completed in August with construction tentatively
planned in September; and
WHEREAS, this project has an estimated cost of $1,692,665, with $692,665 funded in 2015, and $500,000 each
in 2016 and 2017; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project will be from the Street Reconstruction Fund (General Fund Reserves) for
$692,665 and Construction Improvement Fund (CON 413) for $1,000,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that
the Flashing Yellow Arrow Indication Retrofit Implementation Plan is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is directed to prepare plans and specifications for the 2015 phase.
