RESOLUTION No. 2015-193
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING "NO PARKING"
ON 51 ST AVENUE, MERRIMAC LANE AND MERRIMAC COURT IN
ELM CREEK HIGHLANDS 2ND AND 3RD ADDITIONS
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted by all adjacent property owners on 51st Avenue
from Peony Lane to Merrimac Lane, Merrimac Court from Merrimac Lane to the cul-de-sac south and
Merrimac Lane from 50th Place to the cul-de-sac north; and
WHEREAS, 51st Avenue from Peony Lane to Merrimac Lane, Merrimac Court from Merrimac
Lane to the cul-de-sac south and Merrimac Lane from 50th Place to the cul-de-sac north is being used
as overflow parking while school is in session; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that parking on school days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 51st Avenue,
Merrimac Lane and Merrimac Court is not needed to serve the immediate area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the installation of "No Parking" signs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on school
days on 51st Avenue from Peony Lane to Merrimac Lane, Merrimac Court from Merrimac Lane to the
cul-de-sac south and Merrimac Lane from 50th Place to the cul-de-sac north is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the estimated cost of $1,200 for making and installing the signs will
be funded from the Street Maintenance Fund.
APPROVED by the City Council this 23rd day of June, 2015.
