RESOLUTION 2001-559
APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE WATER SUPPLY AND
DISTRIBUTION PLAN FOR WATER STORAGE ALTERNATIVES (2001138)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has considered a comprehensive plan amendment to revise
Chapter 9, the Water Supply and Distribution Plan, providing for water storage; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would 1) delete the elevated water tower proposed east
of Pomerleau Lake in the northwest corner of The Reserve Planned Unit Development, as well as
the potential need for the fiiture water tower south of County Road 47 off of Dunkirk Lane and
2) add a ground storage facility on the City -owned property at the northwest corner of Schmidt
Lake Road and Vicksburg Lane; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed plan amendment at a duly
called public hearing and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve an amendment to
Chapter 9 of the comprehensive plan, the Water Supply and Distribution Plan, subject to the
following conditions:
The following sections of the plan text, tables and figure shall be revised to reflect the
changes in the plan for water storage: Section 9.4.3.1 (page 9-16); Section 9.4.5, Table
9-7 (page 9-22); Table 10 (page 9-26); Figure 9-6 (page 9-29) Section 9.5.1, Table 9-11
(Page 9-30); Section 9.5.2, Table 9-12 (Page 9-30); Think Water System Map (Pocket);
and Appendix Page 9-C-1.
2. Approval of this comprehensive plan amendment is contingent upon, and subject to, the
required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
