RESOLUTION 2001-541
APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A 3,000 -
GALLON LIQUID NITROGEN TANK FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4700
NATHAN LANE NORTH (2001141)
WHEREAS, Toll Gas and Welding Supply has requested a site plan amendment for the
installation of a 3,000 -gallon liquid nitrogen tank at property legally described as follows:
Lot 1, Block 1, Drakeland Business and Technical Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
meeting and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
request by Toll Gas and Welding Supply for a site plan amendment, subject to the
following conditions:
1. The site plan amendment is for an approval for the installation of a 3,000 -gallon liquid
nitrogen tank, as shown on plans received on November 2, 2001 and November 26,
2001, except as amended by this resolution.
2. The screening of the tank will consist of a 6 -foot high chain-link fence with privacy
slats in a color compatible with the exterior of the existing building.
3. Separate tank permit(s) for the tank and piping must be obtained from the Building
Division prior to the installation of the tank.
4. Separate building permit(s) for the retaining wall must be obtained from the Building
Division. Signed engineer drawings for the retaining wall must be submitted with the
building permit application.

5. The tank, piping and process system shall be installed and protected to fire code
requirements.
6. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals
per Ordinance provisions.
7. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property
owner or applicant has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the
landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the
expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of
the Zoning Ordinance.
