HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2001-527CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO: 2001-527 APPROVING THE 2002 PAY AND COMPENSATION PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth uses job evaluation in order to determine job value; and WHEREAS, this plan is in compliance N ith Minnesota Statute 471, commonly knovm as the "Pay Equity LaN-,- "; and WHEREAS, the classification and compensation plan has been updated to reflect changes to the 2002 budget proposals submitted to the City Council for review; and WHEREAS, in keeping N ith good management practice, City employees and volunteers are sometimes rewarded for suggestions, good health and safety practices, longevity and good service; and WHEREAS, volunteers are also recognized for their service to the City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: Approve the 2002 Classification and Compensation Plans attached hereto effective January 5, 2002. 2. Directs the City Manager to proceed N ith the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the plan and its components. 3. Approves continuation of volunteer and employee recognition and Nvellness programs as budgeted. 4. Approve an increase of 3.0% in the pay of the City Manager and approve a change to the monthly mileage alloNvance for the City Manager from $400 per month to $550 per month 5. Approve an amendment to the employment agreement of the City Manager to provide that the City retirement contribution be increased to the percentage amount provide other City employees. Adopted by the City Council on December 18, 2001.
