RESOLUTION NO. 2001-505
CALLING FOR NEW HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
OLD ROCKFORD ROAD/STATE HIGHWAY 55 AREA
SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 1033
WHEREAS, a report has been prepared by the City's consulting engineer, Bonestroo
Rosene Anderlik and Assoc. Inc with respect to improvements to Old Rockford Road/State
Highway 55 Area; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the extension of sanitary sewer and
watermain; and
WHEREAS, said report was received by the Council on October 23, 2001; and
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 23rd day of October, 2001, fixed
the 27th day of November, 2001 as the date for the public improvement hearing with respect
to improvements to the Old Rockford Road/State Highway 55 area for the extension of
sanitary sewer and watermain; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to provide additional notice to property owners in the area prior
to consideration of the proposed improvements by the City Council at a public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The November 27, 2001 public improvement hearing for extension of
sanitary sewer and watermain in the Old Rockford Road/Highway 55 area
is canceled.
2. The Council will consider the improvement of such project in accordance
with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property in
the Old Rockford Road/Highway 55 area for all or a portion of the cost of
the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111
(Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $520,872.
3. A new public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on
the 8th day of January, 2002 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth
City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall
give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as
required by law.
