RESOLUTION 2001-357
APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL
AT 2000 MERRIMAC LANE NORTH. (200108 1)
WHEREAS, The Learning Ladder, Inc. has requested approval of a conditional use permit to
allow operation of a preschool in the existing building on property legally described as follows:
Lot 1, Block 1 Munla Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the request at a duly called public hearing
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by The
Learning Ladder for a conditional use permit for property located at 2000 Merrimac Lane North,
subject to the following conditions:
1. A conditional use permit for a preschool facility at 2000 Merrimac Lane is approved, in
accordance with the application and plans received by the City on July 12, 2001, except as
amended by this resolution.
2. A copy of the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services license for this property
shall be submitted to the City.
3. Separate building permits are required for any interior building modifications.
4. Signage shall comply with the sign regulations of the Zoning Ordinance.
5. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per
Ordinance provisions.

6. The permit is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances, and violation thereof
shall be grounds for revocation.
7. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property owner or
applicant has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the landowner or
applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the expiration date for up to one
additional year, as regulated under Section 21015.07 of the Zoning Ordinance.
