RESOLUTION NO. 2001-340
AMENDING THE DATES OF APPOINTMENT FOR
YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS
WHEREAS, it is more advantageous to recruit Youth Advisory Council Members while schools are still
in session rather than in summer months; and
WHEREAS, it is more productive for the Youth Advisory Council to use the summer months as
organizational and planning time; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for outgoing seniors to continue to meet and participate with the new
Youth Advisory Council in May and throughout the summer in a non-voting capacity to help provide
guidance and continuity to the group; and
WHEREAS, this new timetable would better meet the needs to seniors on the council because by May
Int of each year, they are busy selecting a college and preparing for proms and graduation activities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the term of office for Youth Advisory Council members shall be
amended to commence on May 1.
Adopted by the City Council on August 14, 2001.
