APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT
AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2 10 10. 01 (ADMINISTRATION — AMENDMENTS
(TEXT AND MAPS)) TO COMPLY WITH NEW STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS

WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth finds it necessary to amend the Zoning Ordinance to
comply with Chapter 462.357 of the State Statutes regarding the passage of zoning
amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the text amendment relating to the
passage of zoning amendments at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to
conform to State legislation regarding the passage of zoning amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
request for a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow passage of all zoning
amendments, except those for changes from residential districts to commercial or
industrial districts, with a simple majority vote of all council members after review of the
following findings:
The amendment is recommended by the City Attorney to comply with recent changes
to Chapter 462.357 of the State Statute.
