RESOLUTION 2001-334
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING SECTION 21005 AND SECTION
21155 OF THE PLYMOUTH CITY CODE (2001056)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth finds it necessary to amend the Zoning Ordinance to
specifically address signage for pump -island canopies that are not related to a convenience store
on the lot; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the text amendment at a duly called Public
Hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 2001-25 amending the Zoning
Ordinance text to address signage for pump -island canopies that are not related to a convenience
store on the lot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that revisions to Section 21005.02 and Section 21155.03,
Subd. 4 (c) (2) of the City Code are necessary based on the following findings:
1. The amendment is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and plans.
2. The amendment meets the purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The amendment would provide specific and clear standards for canopy signage.
ADOPTED by the City Council on August 14, 2001.
