Special Council Meeting
May 12, 2015
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on May 12, 2015.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Beard, Carroll, Johnson, Prom, Willis,
and Wosje.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Administrative Services Director Fischer, City
Attorney Knutson, Finance Manager Bursheim, Supervising Accountant McMackins, Park and
Recreation Director Evans, Public Works Director Cote, Community Development Director
Juetten, Public Safety Director Goldstein, Human Resources Manager Kone, and City Clerk
Engdahl.
Council Conduct/Procedure
The Council discussed conduct and procedures relating to meeting with developers, training and
conferences, media, and communication.
2016/2017 Budget
City Manager Callister stated staff has started the process to put together the draft budget for
2016/2017. He mentioned a few points regarding salary increases for City employees, increase
in health insurance premiums, the hiring of additional two additional police officers in 2016 and
2017, and an approximate three to four percent tax levy increase.
Mayor Slavik left the meeting.
In order to give staff some preliminary direction, the each of the Councilmembers made brief
comments regarding the items listed above.
Set Future Study Sessions
Due to running out of time, the Council stated this item would be added to this evening's regular
agenda.

Deputy Mayor Johnson adjourned the meeting at 6:58 p.m.
