RESOLUTION 2001-229
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING THE TEXT OF THE CITY CODE,
ENTITLED THE PLYMOUTH ZONING ORDINANCE (2001048)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested an amendment to the City Code to add
"park,v, trails, playgl'Y)11ndv and directly related buildingv and structures, City of Plylvollth only
to the list of permitted uses in the I-1, Light Industrial Zoning District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing
and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending Section 21560.03 of the
Plymouth City Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for an
amendment to Section 215660.03 of the Plymouth City Code relating to permitted uses in the I-1,
Light Industrial Zoning District, based on the following findings:
1. The City Code amendment is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies
and plans.
2. The City Code amendment is necessary to carry out the policies and goals of the Parks and
Open Space chapter of the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Plymouth.
ADOPTED by the City Council this 12th day of June, 2001.
