HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2001-197CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2001-197 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5625 YUCCA LANE NORTH (2001027) WIIEREAS, Begin Oaks Golf has requested reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for the roughly 70 acres of land located at 5625 Yucca Lane North, legally described as follows: The Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. ALSO, The North Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, except the southerly 30 feet of the easterly 700 feet of said North half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and except that part of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter which lies easterly of a line running parallel with and distant 237 feet westerly of Line 1 described below: ALSO, The South Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, except that part of said South Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter which lies easterly of a line running parallel with and distant 237 feet westerly of said Line 1 described below: Line 1. Beginning at a point on the north line of said Section 3, distant 881.8 feet east of the north quarter corner thereof, thence run southwesterly at an angle of 75 degrees 33 minutes 39 seconds from said north section line (measured from west to south) for 2734.93 feet; thence deflect to the left on a 1 degree 00 minute 00 second curve (delta angle 12 degrees 07 minutes 00 seconds) for 1211.67 feet; thence on tangent to said curve for 1000 feet and there terminating. WI-1EREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; and Resolution 2001-197 (2001008) Page 2 WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to P -I (Public/Institutional). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for the roughly 70 acres of land located at 5625 Yucca Lane North, based on the following findings: 1. The proposed rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. 2. The area to be rezoned meets the standards of the P -I zoning district. 3. There is adequate infrastructure available to support the P -I zoning and the existing golf course/driving range use of this site. ADOPTED by the City Council on May 22, 2001.
