RESOLUTION NO. 2001-157
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION
FOR FUNDING TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
FOR NATIONAL TRANSIT DATABASE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, through its transit system, Plymouth Metrolink, is eligible
to receive funding from the Metropolitan Council for National Transit Database (NTD)
reporting; and
WHEREAS, the amount of funding the City is eligible to receive is $155,106; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a transit station built in the proposed
Reserve development in northwest Plymouth would encourage transit use; and
WHEREAS, a plan has been proposed to develop a multi -use transit station in the Reserve
development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council agrees it is in its best interests to apply for NTD funding in the
amount of $155,106 to apply toward the constriction of a multi -use transit station in the
proposed Reserve development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
That the City of Plymouth hereby authorizes the Director of Public Works or
his designee to apply for National Transit Database fiinding from the
Metropolitan Council in the amount of $155,106 to be used in the
constriction of a multi -use transit station in the proposed Reserve
development.
Adopted by the City Council on April 10, 2001.
