HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2001-138CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2001-138 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 2001 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO'S. 1001 & 1005 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on January 23, 2001 the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of certain streets in Maintenance District 37 & 66 as follows: Maintenance District 37 • Comstock Lane — 26"' Avenue to 30"' Avenue • Black Oaks Lane — 26"' Avenue to 31" Avenue • Zanzibar Lane — 26"' Avenue to 29"' Avenue • 26"' Avenue — Dunkirk Lane to Zanzibar Lane • 27"' Avenue — Comstock Lane to Black Oaks Lane • 27th Place — Cul-de-sac west to Dead End east • 28t" Avenue — Comstock Lane to Zanzibar Lane • 29t" Avenue — Dunkirk Lane to Zanzibar Lane • 3ot" Avenue - Comstock Lane to Black Oaks Lane Maintenance District 66 • Magnolia Lane — North of Sunset Trail by reconstruction of streets with the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurtenances and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2001 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
