RESOLUTION 2001-124
EXPANDING THE FIREFIGHTER
CHILD CARE INITIATIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Firefighter Child Care Initiative in 1998 in order to
influence recruitment and retention of firefighters; and
WHEREAS, Club Kid and the Step by Step Montessori were designated for use under the
program; and
WHEREAS, expanding the program to include state -licensed, home child cares will make the
program more attractive to firefighters;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Plymouth that
the Firefighter Child Care Initiative is hereby expanded to include state -licensed, home child care
providers, as well as state -licensed child care centers.
Adopted by the Plymouth City Council on March 20, 2001.
