RESOLUTION NO. 2001-120
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO
THE TRANSIT SERVICE AGREEMENT
WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL (METRO TRANSIT)
AND APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENT RATES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
Section 473.388; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council, through its transit operations division of Metro
Transit, currently provides transit services for the City of Plymouth through a transit service
agreement between the City and the Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, the current transit service agreement between the City of Plymouth and the
Metropolitan Council expired December 31, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a three year extension of the transit service
agreement between the City and the Metropolitan Council, commencing January 1, 2001 and
continuing through December 31, 2003, is in its best interests; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the First Amendment to the transit service
agreement between the City and the Metropolitan Council to extend the agreement for the
period January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. That the City hereby approves the First Amendment to the transit service
agreement between the Metropolitan Council (through its transit operating
division, Metro Transit) and the City for the period January 1, 2001
through December 31, 2003, consistent with the extension provision of the
existing agreement, and authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to
execute said First Amendment.
