RESOLUTION NO. 2001-119
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR TRANSIT
OPERATIONS FUNDING
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
Section 473.388; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council levies a regional transit property tax; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth receives funding from the locally generated portion of the
regional transit property tax for transit operations; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has submitted an agreement with the City of Plymouth
for 2001 transit operations funding; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the City to
approve the transit operations funding agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. That the City hereby approves the Agreement Between the Metropolitan
Council and the City of Plymouth for 2001 transit operations fiinding, and
authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute said Agreement.
