RESOLUTION NO. 2001-068
APPROVAL OF AMENDMENTS TO TRANSIT CAPITAL
GRANT AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
AND THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL EXTENDING THE
GRANT ELIGIBILITY PERIOD TO DECEMBER 31, 2001
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council requested applications from transit agencies and
transit authorities in the Metropolitan area for Regional Transit Capital Project Funding; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth operates a replacement transit service known as Plymouth
Metrolink under Minnesota Statutes Section 473.388; and
WHEREAS, Plymouth Metrolink submitted three Regional Transit Capital Project Funding
applications to the Metropolitan Council and received approval from the Metropolitan
Council for Regional Transit Capital funding for all three projects; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council adopted Resolutions No. 98-675, 98-676 and
98-677 authorizing execution of Transit Capital Grant Agreements with the Metropolitan
Council for these projects; and
WHEREAS, an extension of time eligibility for Regional Transit Capital Grant Funding was
requested by Plymouth Metrolink and approved by the Metropolitan Council for an additional
year of eligibility until December 31, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has submitted Amendments to the three Transit
Capital Grant Agreements, approving said extension of time for Regional Transit Capital
Grant Funding of the three projects until December 31, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does authorize the
Mayor and City Manager to enter into First Amendments to Transit Capital Grant
Agreements No. SG -98 -PF -098, SG -98 -PF -100 and SG -98 -PF -101 between the
Metropolitan Council and the City of Plymouth for extension of time for grant fiinding
eligibility until December 31, 2001.
Adopted by the City Council on February 13, 2001.
