RESOLUTION NO. 2001-041
APPROVAL OF CONTRACT WITH THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL TO PROVIDE
FEDERAL ACCESS TO JOBS FUNDING AND TO
APPROVE BUDGET CARRYOVER FUND EXPENDITURES
WHEREAS, an application was made to the Metropolitan Council for federal Access to Jobs
funding by Plymouth Metrolink; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved the application and determined that
funding for the Access to Jobs project is appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the federal Access to Jobs funding requires a 50 percent local match; and
WHEREAS, adequate Plymouth Metrolink Budget Carryover Funds are available to provide
the said local match; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the value of implementing the Access to Jobs
program as a benefit to Plymouth businesses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City of Plymouth enter into an agreement
with the Metropolitan Council to receive federal Access to Jobs fiinding for a reverse
commute demonstration program to be operated by Plymouth Metrolink.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Plymouth authorizes the expenditure of
Plymouth Metrolink Budget Carryover Funds as a 50 percent local match for the federal
Access to Jobs grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
execute the aforementioned Agreement and any amendments thereto.
