RESOLUTION NO. 2002-569
REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO. 2 AND FINAL
CITY CENTER AREA STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 9020
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as owner and Xcel Energy, as contractor, have entered
into an agreement for the City Center Area Street Lighting Improvements, City Project
No. 9020, said agreement being dated August 15, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval
of the final request for payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount was $308,000. One change order was
approved in the amount of $4,150. The value of the work to date is
$312,150 and is herewith approved. This project does not exceed the
revised contract amount.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the City Center Area Street
Lighting Improvements and certified to the Council by the engineer as
acceptable, being the same, is hereby released from the contract except as
to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the
owner, required guarantees and correction of faulty work after final
payment.
3. Request for Payment No. 2 and Final in the amount of $19,550 to Xcel
Energy for the City Center Area Street Lighting Improvements is hereby
approved and the City Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed
to pay the same forthwith.
4. The fiinding for this project is from the TIF and Special Assessment
Funds.
