RESOLUTION 2002-523
CONCLUDING THE LAND USE STUDY AND REMOVING THE STUDY AREA
DESIGNATION FOR THE COUNTY ROAD 73 CORRIDOR STUDY AREA LOCATED
SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 55 ON BOTH SIDES OF COUNTY ROAD 73 SOUTH TO THE
BORDER WITH THE CITY OF MINNETONKA (2001155)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth designated this area as "Study Area A" and "Study Area B"
on the Land Use Guide Plan map of the Plymouth Comprehensive Plan and identified the study
area for consideration of possible changes in land use designation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth combined Study Areas A and B into the County Road 73
Corridor Study Area which is identified on the attached map; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the County Road 73 Corridor Study at a
duly called public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the following change
to the Comprehensive Plan: In the Land Use Plan, creation of a new section titled "County Road
73 Corridor Study Area," which states that the City has concluded a study of the corridor and
based on the results of the study and public input, the City is not making any changes to the
Comprehensive Plan.
FURTHER, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does amend the official Land Use Guide
Plan map to remove the "Study Area A" and "Study Area B" designations.
FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment is contingent upon, and subject to,
the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
