HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-521CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-521 APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF LABOR & INDUSTRY WHEREAS, The State of Minnesota has been provided a grant, through the Department of Labor & Industry, Occupational Safety & Health Consultation Unit (MNOSHA) for the purpose of improving the safety and health of the workplace ; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has applied and has been authorized to receive grant funding through MNOSHA totaling $17,398 to install two vehicle exhaust removal systems in Fire Station II & III; and WHEREAS, the fiinding is a matching 50/50 grant, with the City obligation of $17,398 ; and WHEREAS, the City agrees to the terms of the grant and authorizes the State of Minnesota, Department of Labor & Industry to enforce the grant contract in accordance with the applicable riles and regulations; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City enter into the grant agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Labor & Industry for a matching MNOSHA grant, and authorize the Mayor and City Manager to sign the agreement.
