ESOLUTION DEQUACY OF ETITION AND RDERING RELIMINARY NGINEERING

EPORT FOR THE UBLIC ORKS ILL AND VERLAY ROJECT HASE

WHEREAS, the 2015-2019 Capital Improvement Program made recommendations for the 2015
Public Works Mill and Overlay Project; and
WHEREAS, a petition was received requesting that an area proposed for mill and overlay
project for 2016 be advanced to 2015; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to undertake a Preliminary Engineering Report to determine the
work required on each street recommended to be considered for the 2015 Public Works Mill and
Overlay Project Phase II, City Project No. 15002.3; and
WHEREAS, the recommended project area includes the following locations. The streets north of
Old Rockford Road and east of Holly Lane including Garland Lane, Fountain Lane, Dunkirk Lane Comstock

Lane and 45 Avenue in the subdivisions known as Golfview Estates and Golfview Woods.
NOW,THEREFORE,BEITHEREBYRESOLVEDBYTHEMAYORANDCITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOF
PLYMOUTH,MINNESOTAthat
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of the streets north of Old Rockford Road
and east of Holly Lane including Garland Lane, Fountain Lane, Dunkirk Lane Comstock

Lane and 45 Avenue in the subdivisions known as Golfview Estates and Golfview Woods,
filed with the council on June 9, 2015, is hereby declared to be signed by the required
percentage of owners of property affected hereby. This declaration is made in conformity

to Minnesota Statute 429.035.
2.The City Engineer is hereby instructed to prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report with
all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the
proposed improvements are feasible and as to whether it should best be made as
proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the
improvements as recommended.
