HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-505CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2002-505 AOUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE FUND GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AND THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH RELATING TO THE CLEANUP OF CONTAMINATED SOILS AT THE STONE CREEK VILLAGE APARTMENT SITE WHEREAS, Dominium Development is proposing to constrict Stone Creek Village, a 130 -unit apartment building located at the northeast quadrant of Highway 55 and West Medicine Lake Drive; and WHEREAS, as part of the environmental reviews for this project, it was determined that a petroleum-based contamination exists on the site; and WHEREAS, the developer will be required to clean up the soil contamination within the boundaries of the property; and WHEREAS, the developer has been awarded fiinds to assist with the cleanup from Hennepin County; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has requested that the City of Plymouth enter into the Grant Agreement. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Plymouth City Council that it supports the environmental financial grant application submitted to the Hennepin County Department of Environmental Services on May 1, 2002 by Dominium Development for fiinding to assist in the clean-up of hazardous waste identified on the proposed site of Stone Creek Village and authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute the required documents. Adopted by the City Council on November 12, 2002.
