HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-499CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-499 AUTHORIZING "NO PARKING" RESTRICTIONS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 10TH AVENUE, EAST OF XENIUM LANE (COUNTY ROAD 61) AND IN THE CUL-DE-SAC AT THE EAST TERMINUS OF THE ROADWAY WHEREAS, based on the width of 10th Avenue east of Xenium Lane, it is difficult for the passage of tractor -trailer tricks when vehicles are parked on both sides of the roadway; and WHEREAS, the sight distance is limited for vehicles turning to/from 10th Avenue and Xenium Lane when vehicles are parked on 10th Avenue near the intersection; and WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the public street is access for the adjacent properties and for the safe movement of vehicles. Parking is considered a secondary benefit of the use of this roadway. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that it hereby, authorizes the installation of "No Parking" signs on the north side of 101h Avenue, east of Xenium Lane and in the cul-de-sac at the east terminus of the roadway. Adopted by the City Council on November 12, 2002.
