RESOLUTION 2002-496
APPROVING COMMENTS ON METROPOLITAN COUNCIL BLUEPRINT 2030
WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 22, 2002 the Plymouth City Council reviewed the
Metropolitan Council's draft Blueprint 2030 dated August 28, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to go on record with comments on the draft
Blueprint during the comment period for the Metropolitan Council's public hearing,
which will close on October 28, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has also reviewed comments prepared by the Association of
Metropolitan Municipalities (AMM) on behalf of its member cities, and concurs with those
comments; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to the comments prepared by the AMM, the City of Plymouth has
comments with regard to the status of Highway 55 in relation to proposed growth
corridors and regarding the natural resources inventory of the Blueprint;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct and
authorize the Mayor to sign a letter transmitting these comments in a letter to the
Metropolitan Council.
