RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM AND TURN LANE
PEONY LANE/OLD ROCKFORD ROAD
CITY PROJECT NO. 2009
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of Traffic Control Signal
System and turn lane at Peony Lane/Old Rockford Road intersection and all necessary
appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following
bids were received complying with the advertisement:

Electrical Installation & Maintenance $212,510.55
Hardrives, Inc. $235,657.23
WHEREAS, it appears that Electrical Installation & Maintenance of Maple Plain, MN is the
lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract
with Electrical Installation & Maintenance of Maple Plain, MN in the name of the City of
Plymouth for the constriction of Traffic Control Signal System and turn lane at Peony
Lane/Old Rockford Road intersection according to the plans and specifications therefore
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of
$212,510.55.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. Funding for this project in the amount of $266,000 is from the MSA Fund (402).
