RESOLUTION NO. 2002-414
RESOLUTION REJECTING BID
2002 BITUMINOUS MILL AND OVERLAY AND
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 2028
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of the 2002 Bituminous
Mill and Overlay and Intersection Improvements and all necessary appurtenances, bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
COMPANY TOTAL BID
Hardrives, Inc. $391,722.20
Bituminous Roadways $409,419.80
WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible bidder,
complying with the minimum specifications;
WHEREAS, the low bid is 20% over the City's consulting engineer's estimate, and it is the
recommendation of the consulting engineer to reject all bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. All bids received are hereby rejected.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids.
Adopted by the City Council on September 9, 2002.
