HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-384CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2002-384 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF HIGHWAY 55, SOUTH OF THE SOO LINE RAILROAD, AND WEST OF THE PLUM TREE SUBDIVISION (2002058) WHEREAS, Lundgren Bros. Constriction has requested reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to RSF-4 (Single and Two Family) for the 13.3 -acre site located north of Highway 55, south of the Soo Line Railroad, and west of the Plum Tree Subdivision, legally described as follows: All that part of the West half of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 7, Township 118 North, Range 22 West of the 5t1' Principal Meridian, lying Northerly of the center line of Rockford Road and Southerly of the Southerly line of the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to RSF-4 (Single and Two Family). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to RSF-4 (Single and Two Family) for the 13.3 -acre site located north of Highway 55, south of the Soo Line Railroad, and west of the Plum Tree Subdivision, based upon the following findings: 1. The proposed RSF-4 zoning classification is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. 2. The applicable RSF-4 district standards would be met. Resolution 2002-384 (2002058) Page 2 3. The proposed RSF-4 zoning classification allows a development that complies with the City's density goals and life -cycle housing goals specified in the Housing Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan. 4. There would be adequate infrastructure available to support RSF-4 zoning and the development proposed for this site. ADOPTED by the City Council on August 27, 2002.
