HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-368CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-368 RECEIVE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT APPROVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PEONY/TROY LANE PAVING IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 1029 WHEREAS, the City's Consulting Engineer, SRF Consulting Group has prepared a preliminary engineering report and plans and specifications for Peony Lane/Troy Lane Paving Improvements for the paving of a 24' wide surface with 2' wide gravel shoulders and drainage culvert replacement and has presented such report and plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such preliminary engineering report is approved and improvements are hereby ordered with SRF Consulting Group designated as the engineer for the improvement. 2. Plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on September 6, 2002 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. 4. Funding for the project shall be from the Minnesota State Aid fiind in the amount of $406,000. Adopted by the City Council on August 13, 2002.
