HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-353CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2002-353 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO SECTION 21465.03 TO ALLOW "VETERINARY CLINIC AND KENNEL; AND PET SALES, SUPPLIES AND GROOMING" AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE C-3 (HIGHWAY COMMERICAL) DISTRICT (2002079) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth finds it necessary to amend the Zoning Ordinance to permit "veterinary clinic and kennel; and pet sales, supplies and grooming" in the C-3 zoning district; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow "veterinary clinic and kennel; and pet sales, supplies and grooming" as a permitted use in the C-3 zoning district. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, thatit should and hereby does approve the requested Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow "veterinary clinic and kennel; and pet sales, supplies and grooming" as a permitted use in the C-3 zoning district, based upon the following findings: 1. The use is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and the C (Commercial) guiding of C-3 (Highway Commercial) zoned properties. 2. The use is compatible with the other allowable uses in the C-3 district, and is consistent with the purpose and intent of the C-3 district. ADOPTED by the City Council on August 13, 2002.
