RESOLUTION NO. 2002-328
PARTICIPATION IN LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES
NPDES PHASE II GUIDE PLAN
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is preparing a General Permit for the
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II which will require the
City of Plymouth to submit application for coverage by March 10, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) is organizing preparation of a guide
plan for the NPDES Phase II Permit Application; and
WHEREAS, the LMC has requested that the City of Plymouth participate at an estimated
cost of $5,000 and appoint a representative to the project Steering Committee; and
WHEREAS, the use of the NPDES Phase II Guide Plan is expected to save the City
significant cost in preparing the NPDES Phase II permit application for the MPCA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City will participate in the LMC effort to
prepare an NPDES Phase II Guide Plan at an estimated cost of $5,000 from the Water
Resources Fund and appoint Shane Missaghi as the City's representative to the project
Steering Committee.
Adopted by the City Council on July 9, 2002.
