HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-320CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-320 AUTHORIZING "NO PARKING" RESTRICTIONS IN THE CONOR MEADOWS NEIGHBORHOOD FROM 8 A.M. TO 2 P.M. SCHOOL DAYS WHEREAS, the additional parking in the neighborhood, particularly by Wayzata High School students, is creating a public nuisance and may potentially cause safety problems in the neighborhood; and WHEREAS, such parking creates an increase in traffic levels and potential pedestrian safety problems; and WHEREAS, the additional parking in the neighborhood is reportedly causing disruptions to service in the neighborhood such as mail service and garbage removal; and WHEREAS, complaints have been received that the drivers who are parking in the area are creating a public nuisance by littering and generally disrespecting the area; and WHEREAS, there are 88 homes in the area, and 68 of the homeowners (77%) have signed a petition requesting a "No Parking" restriction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it hereby, authorizes the installation of the following signs: "No Parking - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. School Days" in the Conor Meadows neighborhood.
