RESOLUTION NO. 2002-220
RESOLUTION APPROVING 2002 TRANSIT VEHICLE
ACQUISITION PROGRAM FOR PLYMOUTH METROLINK
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services, known as Plymouth Metrolink,
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 473.388; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has provided the City with Regional Transit Capital
funding through Grant No. SG -01-080 for the purchase of transit vehicles by Plymouth
Metrolink; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need exists for additional transit vehicles
for Plymouth Metrolink operations; and
WHEREAS, Plymouth Metrolink has submitted a 2002 Transit Vehicle Acquisition Program
consistent with that need; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the City to
approve the 2002 Transit Vehicle Acquisition Program and to authorize vehicle purchases
under that program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
That the City hereby adopts this resolution approving the Plymouth Metrolink
2002 Transit Vehicle Acquisition Program, fiinded by Metropolitan Council
Regional Transit Capital Grant No. SG -01-080, in an amount not to exceed
$715,000, and authorizes the purchase of vehicles consistent with the
Program.
