HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-183CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-183 APPROVING PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND WARRANTY DEED WITH WILSON SERVICES FOR CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 17920 30TH PLACE NORTH COUNTY ROAD 101 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CITY PROJECT 9005 WHEREAS, the City Council approved by Resolution No. 2002-047 to sell the homes associated with the County Road 101 constriction project; and WHEREAS, it was determined that the extensive rehabilitation costs and staff time necessary to bring this property to a marketable sale condition was determined to not be cost effective; and WHEREAS, two bids were received from rehabilitation companies to purchase this property in an "as is" condition, i.e., $55,000 from Fisher Constriction and Restoration, and $135,000 from Wilson Services; and WHEREAS, Wilson Services has been found to be a reputable rehabilitation company and as part of the purchase agreement, the property will not be issued an occupancy permit until Wilson Services corrects all code violations as previously identified by City staff, to the satisfaction of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the purchase agreement and warranty deed for the property located at 17920 30t1' Place North between the City and Chuck Wilson, owner of Wilson Services, is approved and the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to sign the agreement and warranty deed on behalf of the City.
