RESOLUTION NO. 2002-182
APPROVING REPLACEMENT OF
ASTROPLAY ARTIFICIAL TURF
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth purchased Astroplay Artificial Turf from Southwest
Recreation in 1999; and
WHEREAS, the product has shown some blemishes and extensive wear over the first four years
of its usefiil life; and
WHEREAS, Southwest Recreation has offered to replace the artificial turf for $90,000; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has reviewed said offer and finds it to be in the
best interest of the City of Plymouth,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL that the
Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to proceed with the acquisition of new Astroplay
artificial turf in the amount of $90,000, and fiirther that the fiinding for this project shall come
from the Fieldhouse reserve fiinds.
Adopted by the City Council on April 9, 2002.
