RESOLUTION NO. 2002-172
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A GRANT CONTRACT WITH THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY,
OFFICE OF DRUG POLICY AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION
TO IMPLEMENT VIDEO CAMERA PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Drug Policy
and Violence Prevention has a program to implement the video camera project; and
WHEREAS, they are working with local law enforcement agencies on this project;
and
WHEREAS the Plymouth police department is already participating with them on
the racial profiling data collection study and now wishes to receive available grant moneys
to purchase video cameras for its marked squad fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the
Mayor and City Manager to execute the grant contract with the Minnesota Department of
Public Safety, Office of Drug Policy and Violence Prevention to implement the video
camera project.
