HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-168CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-168 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID CENTRAL PLANT WATER TOWER RECONDITIONING AND PAINTING WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Central Plant Water Tower Reconditioning and Painting Improvements, and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Leadcon, Inc. $ 242,950.00 TMI Coatings, Inc. $ 271,610.00 Odland Protective $ 361,400.00 Classic Protective Coatings $ 366,400.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Leadcon Inc. of Hudson, WI is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Leadcon, Inc. of Hudson, WI in the name of the City of Plymouth for Central Plant Water Tower Reconditioning and Painting according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $242,950. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successfill bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
