HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-167CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-167 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 2002 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 2001 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on March 26, 2002 the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of streets as follows: • The entire Maintenace District except the south portion of Arrowood Lane where the project will end 207 feet south of 46t1' Avenue, • Hemlock Lane north of 60th Place (cul-de-sac). by reconstruction of streets with the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurtenances and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; WHEREAS, fiunding will come from the following areas: Proposed Assessments: $298,016 Infrastructure Replacement Fund $1,754,984 Municipal State Aid Fund $27,000 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published three times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on May 7, 2002 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
