HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-117CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-117 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER, AND POLICE CHIEF TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, VIKING COUNCIL FOR SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A JUVENILE DIVERSION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Police Department has a need to provide an alternative program to divert first time misdemeanor juvenile offenders from the court system; and WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America, Viking Council, have a program in place; and WHEREAS, other police departments are participating in this program and are very happy with the services provided; and WHEREAS, there would be no cost to the City for this program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the Mayor, City Manager, and Police Chief to enter into a contract agreement with the Boy Scouts of America, Viking Council, for services in connection with a juvenile diversion program. Adopted by the City Council on March 12, 2002.
