RESOLUTION NO. 2002-116
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY,
BUREAU OF CRIMINAL APPREHENSION
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal
Apprehension's Predatory Offender Registration Unit has established a database of their
information through the Criminal Justice Data Communications Network; and
WHEREAS, there is value to the police department to be able to access this
information; and
WHEREAS, the State has established riles for security and access of this system
and require entering into a Joint Powers Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the
Mayor and City Manager to enter into a joint powers agreement with the Minnesota
Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Adopted by the City Council on March 12, 2002.
