RESOLUTION NO. 2002-115
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A GRANT CONTRACT WITH THE
MINNESOTA STATE PATROL FOR AN
ALCOHOL SATURATION ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Patrol has received grant monies to work on an
alcohol saturation program designed to arrest impaired drivers; and
WHEREAS, they are looking to work with local law enforcement agencies on this
project; and
WHEREAS, we have evaluated our participation in the program and believe there
is great benefit to the City as a whole, including discouraging driving under the influence
of alcohol within the City, repayment of officer's time for participation, and the receipt of
a digital PBT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the
City Manager to execute the grant contract with the Minnesota State Patrol for
participation in an alcohol saturation enforcement program.
