HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-106CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2002-106 APPROVING ENGINEERING SERVICES RATES FOR 2002 FOR THE CITY'S DESIGNATED ENGINEERING CONSULTING FIRMS BONESTROO, ROSENE, ANDERLIK AND ASSOC., INC., SRF CONSULTING GROUP, INC. SHORT, ELLIOTT, HENDRICKSON, INC., AND HOWARD R. GREEN COMPANY WHEREAS, per City policy the City Council designates engineering consulting firms to provide engineering services for public works improvement projects throughout the city; and WHEREAS, in December 1996, the City Council designated the following four firms to provide the necessary engineering services for public works projects, i.e., Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Assoc., Inc., SRF Consulting Group, Inc., Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc., and MSA Consulting Engineers (subsequently merged with Howard R. Green Company); and WHEREAS, The City Council had previously requested staff to update the list of designated engineering consulting firms for public improvement projects within the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, staff is recommending a procedure to receive proposals from a short list of engineering consulting firms interested in working for the City of Plymouth with the recommended timeline for this process to begin in March 2002 and culminate with a committee recommendation to the City Council at their May 28, 2002 meeting; and WHEREAS, rate schedules for 2001 and 2002 have been provided by the four current approved engineering consulting firms working for the City of Plymouth and are attached hereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the attached 2002 rate schedules for engineering services from Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Assoc., Inc., SRF Consulting Group, Inc., Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc., and Howard R. Green Company are hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council will be provided with proposals from the City's four currently approved consulting firms as well as a select group of other engineering consulting firms prior to the City Council meeting set for May 28, 2002 with proposed rates and services to be reviewed at that time.
